DEVELOPING TOTAL RIGHT HAND FREEDOM.

On this page I'm going to document my quest for complete right hand independence. As a self-taught drummer who grew up listening to primarily rock music I overlooked a lot of interesting variations of ostinato patterns on the hi-hat, ride or whatever else you may be using to keep time. Once I realized my deficiency in this area of drumming I decided to make a goal of building my right hand independence. I've been working on it for a while now but am just now starting to document the different patterns I'm developing to work on this particular concept. I'll also be working on creating some videos that highlight some of the different ways you can approach this concept and come up with your own ideas to work on perfecting your right hand independence.
